One school year limited warranty against manufacturer defects:
Manufacturer defects are generally noticeable right away. These include, but are not limited to, zippers that don’t zip properly, seams that are not sewn properly, and fabric flaws. Please carefully check each garment you purchase to ensure it is free of defects before wearing it. Return any defective merchandise to the store within 1 school year of purchase; returns after 1 school year cannot be accommodated. Returned merchandise must be accompanied by original receipt. Merry Mart staff will evaluate the problem and use their experience to determine if it is a manufacturer defect, normal wear and tear, or damage caused by the customer. Items that are determined to have a manufacturer defect will be either repaired, replaced, or refunded at Merry Mart’s discretion.
Wear & tear is not a manufacturing defect. Wear & tear includes, but is not limited to: holes or cuts in fabric, hems that have come out, pant knees that are faded or have holes, buttons that have come off, stains or other marks on fabric, snagged or pulled threads. Our employees’ children wear our uniforms and we are very familiar with the normal wear and tear that garments can experience. We are happy to suggest ways limiting or preventing as much wear & tear as possible - we have a few tricks up our sleeves!
Damage caused after purchase is not a manufacturing defect. Scissors, hard playgrounds, play structures, chain-link fences, art supplies, and children themselves are all things that can damage garments. Uniforms are durable but not indestructible! We have seen a variety of damaged merchandise since 1946 and we will let you how your garment may have been damaged and are happy to make suggestions about how to prevent future damage.
